A large part of what I do is about making people, couples, families and clients feel comfortable around me so they can feel relaxed in front of the camera.  This is why I always recommend having an engagement shoot, most people at first think its a really naff idea, but afterwards they all say it was really great and a really important part of the process for their wedding photography.  Initially the thought of it seems a little contrived and an effort but once we’re off its a really lovely experience, the couple get to have a little quality time together we discuss their big day in a really relaxed way whilst capturing some natural and relaxed portraits. O yes and we usually finish up at the pub, sounds like a fab idea to me.

This shoot took place a couple of weeks ago one early evening after Catherine & Joe had finished work, the lighting was stunning and it was wonderful to get to know them as a couple and find out about them . It’s actually one of my favourite parts of the whole process , I get to share the excitement and anticipation with them.
