The weather has been amazing and with Glastonbury hosting an online event this weekend I thought I’d share some fab ideas for a festival styled wedding. Over the years I have photographed lots of wonderful Suffolk, Essex and Norfolk Weddings and I have to say being an outdoors kinda gal I absolutely love the whole festival vibe. Living in Suffolk with Latitude on our doorstep it totally makes sense to embrace the big blue Skys and open spaces.
So if we can’t go to a festival lets bring it to us. Festival pimp your wedding or your garden for the summer.

Why not have a blessing under canvas or in a woodland. In the current situation open air ceremonies maybe something to consider… Events Under Canvas supplier wonderful tipi style tents. This is Hannah & Guy’s gorgeous summer wedding last year at Woodfarm Barns in Benacre Suffolk. .https://www.eventsundercanvas.co.uk. Lots of venues are creating outside spaces for bride and grooms to adapt their day to work outside. All Manor of Events in Henley Ipswich have a beautiful woodland where blessings can take place. https://www.allmanorofevents.co.uk. Houchins have there beautiful outside tented ceremony space and Kenton Hall alway has a wonderful woodland. Woodhall Manor’s beautiful rose garden is another gorgeous place to have a ceremony outside.

If your having a wedding on private grounds, you could create your own village hire some bell tents and camp out over night. https://www.magicaleventsltd.co.uk

First Night as husband and wife.

You have to have wellies, they look fab whatever

Laura’s flashing my wellies at Easton Grange in June 2016 https://www.eastongrange.co.uk

Create build your on signs to tell your guests where and what is going on.

Lanyards are a quirky keepsake for your guests. Design your own and get them made , there are lots of companies online who’ll make these.

Make sure you have lots of choice of refreshments .

Get into the vibe with lots of colour. Paper lanterns are very cost effective and look amazing. Charlotte & Graeme embraced all things colourful and totally rocked the party colours in 2018 at the beautiful Houchins https://www.houchins.co.uk

Embrace different colours with your bridesmaids dresses too.

A Photo Booth is a fun whether you do it yourself or have a pro booth. http://www.flameentertainments.co.uk. , I have worked with Gareth at Flames lots these guys have lots of awesome props.

Top your festival wedding off with an awesome band , and party the night away with your friends and family. A band is such a personal thing I would recommend asking friends and then checking out the band on YouTube. A tip for when making your decisions on choosing a band is. Listen to them on YouTube, set the sense, at home turn the lights down have a nice drink and just listen as if you were at a gig. If you end up dancing they’ve got to be a winner.
